More referral pictures

For some reason I hadn't been able to upload these photos to the log before. I think it's because I'm a computer idiot. Since we haven't gotten any photo updates I thought I would post these. I love him. I can't wait to bring him home.

Waiting for LOA - Day 50

Waiting stinks. It's been made even worse by this stupid H1N1 flu and the uncertainty on the timing of documents coming from China. I want to bring Max home. We're all ready for him.

More shopping for Max

I love shopping for kid's clothes. No trying it on, no self-criticizing, it all matches, you can usually buy a season ahead and on sale. What's not to love. Right now, it's even more - it is the therapy that is getting me through the uncertainty of this process. Every time I buy an outfit I picture him in it and it feels real. The picture on top shows my favorites. Those were the very first outfits I bought for Max.

Getting ready for Max

We've started getting Max's room ready (kind of). We have what will be his room painted, but Ellie and her things are still living in it. It's interesting. Tan/grey walls with lots of pink and green accents. Then again, we are currently living in what will be Ellie's new room which is painted two lovely shades of pink. This is the bedding we finally decided on for him. For some reason this was a very stressful decision for me. I know, not the most important decision in the scheme of things, but for some reason it was a difficult one for me. I think it stems from two issues. First, I want everything to be perfect for him. Second, it makes me realize how little I know about him. It seems like all of the little boy bedding is themed; baseball, airplanes, cars, animals. I have no idea what his likes and dislikes are and that makes me sad. I ended up going with something fairly neutral with the striped comforter. You can see that there is a bit of a safari theme going on. I think the lion and jeep pillows are the best part, but if he doesn't like that or is scared of lions we can always change the sheets/accents out pretty easily. Hopefully it will suit him. I just can't wait to see it all put together, and to see Max snuggled up in his bed.
